Artist help

Make the stream feel like the front row.

A practical guide to clean audio, steady video and a connection that can carry the whole show.

Phone and Director Mode guidance is available now

Choose your setup

Start with the simplest setup that delivers your show reliably. Better sound and a rehearsed connection matter more than adding cameras.

Available now
1

One phone

Best for solo artists and first events. Use the rear camera, a stable mount and wired audio when possible.

2

Director Mode

Use extra phones as video-only angles. The main phone remains the broadcast console and the single audio source.

3

ATEM or OBS

A switched external-encoder workflow is being prepared. It is not yet enabled for production Front Row events.

Before every show

External equipment

Preparing an ATEM Mini Pro

You can build and rehearse the production side now, even though Front Row's direct external-encoder connection is still in development.

Build the program

Connect and label your HDMI cameras, laptop or graphics source. Use the HDMI multiview to watch program, preview, audio and recording status.

Make audio intentional

Send a dedicated broadcast mix from your venue mixer. Avoid two copies of the same microphone and leave headroom for performance peaks.

Record a local master

Rehearse recording the finished H.264/AAC program to a compatible USB disk and play the file back before show day.

Important: Front Row Studio does not currently accept the ATEM as a USB camera, and production ingest credentials are not available yet. Do not connect it directly to a phone or use credentials from another event. We will publish the supported connection flow after hardware and Ghana network testing is complete.

Quick troubleshooting

Video keeps softening

The app is protecting playback on a weak connection. Improve the broadcaster's upload stability before increasing camera quality.

Audio echoes

Make sure only the main phone or program mixer is publishing audio. Mute extra camera microphones and nearby Viewer devices.

A camera angle is missing

Confirm the extra phone joined the correct event and selected the exact angle created on the main phone.

The connection drops

Stay in the broadcast screen while Front Row reconnects. Move to the rehearsed backup connection if the primary network does not recover.
